OBJECTIVE

This position is required to drive a box-truck over an established route to deliver products, pick up returns and/or render services. Responsible for verifying the accuracy of delivered product and collect payment from customers. Must at all times ensure the highest level of customer service, quality, efficiency, safety and accuracy in all aspects of the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates vehicle in accordance with all State and Federal regulations in a safe manner with respect to weather and road conditions. Ensures that pre/post-trip inspection sheets are completed on each vehicle used. Notifies the Driver Supervisor of discrepancies. Checks load conditions and maintains load using approved load-locks and tools in order to reduce product breakage and vehicle damage. Maintains security of load ensuring bay of truck is locked at all times Ensures the assigned vehicle is clean at the end of each shift. Handles, delivers, and works with all products that may be ordered by our customers. Delivers products according to invoices and customer requirements, ensuring that deliveries are made timely. Uses electronic devices provided by the Company to accurately and consistently record start and stop times, assuring hours of service are recorded and remain in compliance with DOT Regulations. Provides input on routes, including time windows, stop order sequence, etc., through proper channels. Ensures that all invoices delivered are signed by the respective customer, paperwork is in stop-order sequence, invoices are matched, and route sheet is properly marked. Collects payments based on terms established by the Company and Tennessee state laws. Communicates shortages and overages of products and returns items to the Warehouse as necessary. Resolves issues, when possible, with customers, and/or communicates those issues to the Company for proper resolution. Ensures proper deposit procedure is followed when depositing funds collected from route. Completes training assignments by management in a timely manner Must perform any and all merchandise duties if called for Performs job essential duties and responsibilities effectively while being monitored via DriveCam. Immediately reports any changes to driver license status or any citations issued by law enforcements authorities to Driver Manager. Represents the Company therefore ensuring that the work uniform is worn properly and maintains a neat and well-groomed appearance. Maintains a positive attitude and good work habits.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 months driving or relative experience Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and shelf labels. Must possess basic mathematical skills for inventory counting purposes. Ability to bend over and lift 50-60 pounds unassisted Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, colleagues, supervisors, and management. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail oriented. Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions. Basic computer knowledge required. Valid driver license with clean driving record
