The Blue Heron is operated with the assistance of a dock attendant and rope handler and involves working outdoors the entire shift in various weather conditions. This is a physical condition involving bending over, lifting and in some cases navigating stairs. A valid Commercial Boating License is required to operate the Blue Heron. The Park will coordinate your training courses and Commercial Boating License exam.
