The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. The Dump Truck Driver will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects by delivering essential materials on time. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt to and from construction sites. Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Collaborate with site supervisors to understand material needs and delivery schedules. Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure. Operate additional equipment as needed, such as loaders or bulldozers, to support site operations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, material deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in a construction environment. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including water trucks and horizontal drilling machinery. Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of vehicles. Ability to dig, pave, and operate loaders or Caterpillar machinery is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members on-site. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
