Role:

The Class A CDLTanker Driver is a critical position responsible for the safe andefficient transportation of liquid cargo to various destinations.

This role requires adherence to all safety regulations and companypolicies while ensuring timely deliveries. The driver will beexpected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintainvehicle safety and compliance. Additionally, the position involvesmaintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.

Ultimately, the success of this role contributes to the overalloperational efficiency and customer satisfaction of our logisticsservices. This position is a safety-sensitive position and requiresa clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility forhis/her safety as well as the safety of others.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tankerendorsement. Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a cleandriving record. Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delivery equipment rangesfrom 30-45′ open-top dump trailers (combination vehicles) across aregional footprint determined by management. Operate manual andautomatic transmission vehicles by DOT requirements as well as alllocal, state, and federal laws. Perform pre-and post-tripinspections. Typical use of hand tools for basic repairs of companybins and equipment. Maintenance of basic truck equipment andoverall cleanliness of equipment. Utilize electronic logging systemfor DOT driver logs and as otherwise required. Maintain paperwork(contamination and service tickets, truck maintenance, etc.) andsubmit all documentation to the appropriate party. Regularlycommunicate with customers and vendors to ensure seamlessoperations. Communicate with the corporate office/operations teamregularly for all service, equipment, and customer service-relatedissues. Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the safetymanager. Ability to work flexible hours based on seasonality, up to60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in 8 days. Attend andparticipate in weekly safety calls, trainings, or briefings. Basicusage of computer and cell phone for training, communication, andexpense management

Required Skills & Abilities:

Valid Class CDL-Ain state of residence with a TANKER endorsement

  • Roll Off orTriaxle.

End dump experience is a plus in some areas. TimeManagement and ability to maintain route consistency. Communicationand customer service skills Proficiency in operating Manual andAutomatic Transmission vehicles Experience using an ElectronicLogging System Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus. Basic computerand cell phone knowledge All drivers must be able to read and speakthe English language sufficiently to converse with the public,understand highway traffic signs and signals in the Englishlanguage, respond to official inquiries, and make entries onreports and records. Age 21 and over. Must have a current DOTmedical card. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Mustpass the road test. Live in a defined hiring area and be willing topark at the approved parking area. No DUI or DWI conviction in acommercial motor vehicle or personal vehicle in the last three (3)years. No DOT Drug Alcohol Violation within the past 3 years.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly lifting, pulling, and/or pushingup to 70 pounds, bending, stooping, twisting, shoveling, orreaching overhead. Ability to manage unpleasant odors from foodwaste/farms. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. WhyYou’ll Love Working at Denali
