Sanitation Vehicle Operator Monstur Carting 160 Eileen Way, Syosset, NY 11791 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Garbage Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up debris from customer locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Duties Operate garbage trucks, rear loader trucks, in a safe and efficient manner. Transport debris to commercial dump sites. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and materials transported. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and project managers regarding pick up schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at job sites. Skills Proficient in operating garbage trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of the vehicle. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading processes. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
