Water or Cement Speader Truck Driver- Union Position E. J. Breneman, L.L.C. Pennsylvania Job Summary The Commercial Motor Vehicle Truck Driver (Water Truck and/or Cement Spreader) will safely and efficiently deliver products and materials to designated jobsites in a timely and professional manner. Duties/Responsibilities

• Transport loads in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
• Operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and other specified vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and regulations.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
• Adhere to all Company policies and jobsite rules.
• Skillfully maneuver truck (and trailer when applicable) into loading and unloading areas; follow crew signals.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; return all equipment to designated area.
• Maintain bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to office or other appropriate staff when delivery is complete.
• Maintain electronic driving or paper logs.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Facilitate routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance malfunctions to Fleet Manager.
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean.
• Communicate with Dispatch and/or jobsite Foreman as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate class and endorsements (Class B, tanker).
• Current DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
• Unrestricted DOT Clearinghouse drug and alcohol record.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak and act professionally and courteously with vendors, customers and staff.
• Ability to remain focused in busy, congested environment.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation, logging systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold required commercial driver’s license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated.
• Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.
• Union member.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
• Frequent overnight/out-of-town travel may be required.

$32.15 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
