The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, including heavy equipment, as well as the ability to manage tasks effectively. Responsibilities Operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and flatbeds, ensuring safe transportation of goods. Perform yard jockey duties, maneuvering trailers within the yard as needed. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization. Skills Proficient in heavy equipment operation with a focus on safety. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse environments and processes. Strong commercial driving skills with a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures for various types of cargo. Military experience is a plus but not required.
