Role Summary:

The Garage Attendant position provides professional and courteous support to all internal and external customers for a Pittsburgh based parking operation. In addition, perform cleaning and building maintenance duties both inside and outside of the location/facility.

General Essential Functions:

Responds clearly and efficiently to customer inquiries including but not limited to monthly/daily rate information, directions to locations and assists in the operation of automated pay equipment stations.
Operates and monitors facility security intercoms and surveillance monitors.
Maintains a clean work area at all times.
Occasionally is responsible for processing parking fees and related transactions accurately and is required to ensure that sufficient cash change is on hand at the start of the shift.
Depending on location, may be required to direct traffic flow, perform light garage maintenance duties or valet.
Performs janitorial or other duties as assigned daily utilizing the proper equipment and following all safety precautions. Uses proper lifting techniques to assist with facility/office equipment and/or furniture moves and meeting set-ups as needed or requested. Cleans windows, vents, and fixtures; sweeps and/or mops walkways, steps, and restrooms if needed. Keep maintenance shop in clean and safe order if applicable.
Pushes dumpsters from location to trash collection area while using proper safety precautions to avoid injury. Removes snow from walks and steps with a shovel, tractor or snow blower as appropriate for amount and location of snow. Puts sand and salt on walks and steps during icy/slippery conditions. Must utilize proper safety precautions when performing snow removal to avoid injury.

Basic Qualifications:

At least 6 months of general work experience.
Depending on location, may be required to possess basic math skills sufficient to calculate time and money in assisting with Cashier-related duties.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must have unrestricted authorization to work in US.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification and background check.
Must be able to navigate through parking lot(s) or garages and must be able to move to assist customers in a timely manner. May be required to travel up and down parking garage ramps in order to assist customers and address garage issues.
Must be able to pass math test as part of the selection process.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds (i.e. salt bags)
Must possess hearing and vision faculties sufficient to perform essential functions.
