Nursing 301: Nursing Informatics has been evaluated and recommended for 3 semester hours and may be transferred to over 2,000 colleges and universities. Medical Nursing and Infectious Disease Nursing are core courses in the nursing major. They were awarded national-level online quality courses in 2016 and 2022 respectively. These courses are provided for nearly 800 second-year university students majoring in three-year vocational nursing, midwifery, oral nursing, traditional Chinese medicine nursing, and foreign-related nursing programs as pre-class previews and post-class reviews. They also cater to individuals in society who have a passion for nursing and possess equivalent educational backgrounds, allowing them to engage in self-directed learning.The course content primarily covers nursing knowledge related to common diseases in the eight major systems of medical nursing, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, coronary heart disease, peptic ulcer, and iron-deficiency anemia. Infectious Disease Nursing mainly focuses on teaching about diseases such as COVID-19, AIDS, and viral hepatitis. The concise and informative video content, with in-depth yet easily understandable explanations of diseases, is closely integrated with the content of the nurse licensing examination. This effectively enhances students' interest in learning and improves teaching effectiveness. This international MOOC is based on two national-level quality courses in Medical Nursing and Infectious Disease Nursing, selecting common clinical diseases in internal medicine and infectious diseases for English explanations. The instructors have over ten years of work and clinical experience and hold "Bi-qualified teacher" qualifications. They are able to combine the content of the Chinese Nurse Licensing Examination and the US Registered Nurse (RN) Examination to provide explanations.Each disease introduction is case-based, utilizing problem-based learning (PBL) teaching methods. The course employs self-developed information resources such as diagrams, tables, animations, videos, etc., to present the key points and difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner. Each video is short but packed with essential information, condensing lengthy knowledge from textbooks. The teaching style is lively and engaging, and there are summary and recap sessions before and after each lecture to facilitate student consolidation and review. This MOOC serves as a valuable assistant for self-directed learning and blended teaching approaches.

This course focuses on the knowledge of aging and care systems for the elderly, health assessment for the elderly, daily care for the elderly, mental health and mental care, medication safety and nursing, common health problems and care during sickness, hospice care, etc. The lecturer provides meticulous, lively and systematic teaching, combined with case-based teaching and the latest development in elderly care in China as well as globally, to present learners with the knowledge and skills of caring for the elderly. Therefore, students of this course, in their future clinical practice, will be able to help the elderly achieve or maintain optimal health status, as well as help them to pass away with peace and dignity, thereby improving their quality of life, and contributing to the process of active aging.

"Rehabilitation Nursing" is a career development course of higher vocational nursing major, which is an integrated course of science and practice. It requires students to master the rehabilitation nursing evaluation and technology of the disabled, the elderly and people with common chronic diseases. The total credit hours of the course is 32 credit hours, including the basic theory of rehabilitation nursing, rehabilitation nursing evaluation, rehabilitation nursing technology and rehabilitation nursing for common diseases. The purpose of the course is to promote students to master the rehabilitation nursing evaluation, operation technology and health guidance of stroke, craniocerebral injury, cervical spondylosis, senile dementia and other diseases, so as to improve the quality of life of patients.

She was a recipient of the Music Award 1985 at Lawrence Academy and the winner of a singing contest in 1995 called Hawaii Stars (television series). Carol has taken brief courses in music throughout her career. She has been a vocalist in 9-piece Motown Band for three years, as well as, beginning her own band during Covid. Carol has been a nurse for 29 years and has experienced the use of music to calm and soothe anxious patients before surgery and connect with someone on a ventilator in the ICU. Geriatric Nursing is targeted at third-year undergraduate students majoring in nursing in full-time programs, with an annual enrollment of 1500 to 2000 students in China. Based on the core and key content of geriatric nursing and incorporating the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine institutions, this course is divided into four major parts: General Introduction (primarily introducing important concepts, backgrounds, physical and mental assessments of the elderly, and medication nursing characteristics related to geriatric nursing), Nursing Care for Common Health Problems in the Elderly (focusing on the most clinically common health issues in the elderly such as falls, frailty, wasting-malnutrition, presbyacusis, and senile constipation), Nursing Care for Common Diseases in the Elderly (focusing on diseases specific to the elderly such as degenerative osteoarthritis, Alzheimer's disease, and gastroesophageal reflux disease in the elderly), and Common Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing Techniques for the Elderly.
