Algorithm Design

Learn the algorithm with Applications for Minimisation, Maximisation, Balanced, Unbalanced Problems What you'll learn: You will learn the basic tools of Operations Research, namely the Transportation ProblemThe Transportation Problem algorithm is ideally applied where there are several origins and several destnations and goods have to sent over these routes. You will learn to solve a variety of problems including unbalanced problems, degenerate problems maximization problemsYou will learn the technique of Transportation Problem where in phase 1 we obtain the Initial Feasible Solution or Basic Feasible SolutionThe Initial solution needs to be improved in phase II of the problem and improve the same till optimality is reached in second phase I am a professor of Operations Research, teaching this subject from 1986 onwards. Linear Programming, Assignment Problem, Transportation Problem, Networking Techniques, Game Theory are some of the major algorithms in Operations Research. My attempt, over the years has been to teach without involving great deal of mathematics, so that the student without any math background can also understand the algorithm easily. In the initial phase I launched the courses on Linear Programming, Assignment Problem, Transportation Problem, Sequencing at one go. This 10 hour video course will give you complete insight into solving a Transportation Problem. Both minimization and maximization cases will be covered, including the more complex degenerate problems. The initial Feasible solution to a transportation problem will be obtained by one of the three methods namely North West Cornet Rule, Least Cost Method or Vogel's Approximation Method. In the second phase, we will cover the MoDi or Modified Distribution Method. The solution to the unbalanced Transportation Problem has been covered. A representative problem of applying the algorithm to a scheduling problem has been covered in the course. In the case of the this algorithm, step by step approach to solving the problems has been introduced, starting with what I call as ‘prechecks’. The idea is that the student should be able to formulate and solve the problem on her own. While both these algorithms are for minimization, the problems for maximization can also be solved by converting them into minimization first. Examples of this effect are covered. I hope that the student will be able to formulate a given situation as one of these algorithm problems and solve it on his own.

This analysis is used to improve business information and provide new insights to managers.SQL data analysts design scripts and programs to perform specific database functions and to analyse and maintain data. Some SQL Data Analyst Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties vary for SQL data analysts based on the specific needs of the hiring company and the amount of data being analysed. However, these core tasks are commonly associated with this job:Integrate DataSQL data analysts integrate data from multiple data sets into o:ne database system to streamline information.Create Database FunctionsSQL data analysts program specific database functions to create database triggers and design data tables.Design ReportsAfter reviewing and analysing data, SQL data analysts design reports to show statistics and other information about specific database topics.Clean DatabaseSQL data analysts remove dead data files and other irrelevant information to free up database space.Write ScriptsSQL data analysts write scripts to analyse data and perform specific data queries.Resolve Data IssuesSQL data analysts isolate and resolve issues with data and databases.Add DataSQL data analysts collect data from multiple sources and add it to the database. We will be performing data analysis using SQL on relational databases like: MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.A relational database is a type of database. It uses a structure that allows us to identify and access data in relation to another piece of data in the database. Often, data in a relational database is organized into tables. A relational database includes tables containing rows and columns. For example, a typical business order entry database would include a table that describes a customer with columns for name, address, phone number and so forth.SQL or Structured Query Language is a critical tool for data professionals. It is undoubtedly the most important language for getting a job in the field of data analysis or data sciences. Millions of data points are being generated every minute. And raw data does not have any story to tell. After all this data gets stored in databases and professionals use SQL to extract this data for further analysis.
