Job Description:
Excel Coordinator __________________________________________________________________ The Excel Coach works directly with assigned students to provide academic support, coaching, and organizational guidance to help students remain successful in their coursework. The Excel Coach serves as a mentor and advocate for students by helping them stay on track with assignments, homework, and long-term projects while fostering independence, accountability, and effective learning habits. This position requires strong collaboration with classroom teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to ensure students receive consistent support and interventions tailored to their academic and social-emotional needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with middle and/or high school students. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students and families. Knowledge of academic support strategies and student engagement practices. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, and administrators. Experience with educational technology and student management systems preferred.
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor and support assigned students' academic progress, attendance, organization, and completion of coursework. Assist students with managing assignments, homework, projects, and study skills. Provide individualized coaching and guidance related to time management, goal setting, self-advocacy, and academic responsibility. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to understand course expectations, assignments, and student progress. Communicate regularly with students, teachers, counselors, administrators, and families regarding student performance and concerns. Help students develop strategies for organization, prioritization, and independent learning. Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and communication. Foster positive relationships with students and create a supportive learning environment. Encourage and motivate students to build confidence, perseverance, and accountability.

Consistent with the negotiated educator salary schedule
Physical and Environmental Demands:
The physical and environmental demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work in a normal classroom, office and school building environment. Ability to move freely about the building to perform duties with staff. Ability to utilize computers and other administrative technologies appropriate to the position. The Superintendent may waive or modify the qualification requirements.
