SUBCONTRACTORS NEEDED - ALL CONTRACTORS MUST HAVE OWN TRUCK, TOOLS, GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE, COMMERCIAL AUTO INSURANCE & WORKMAN'S COMP -- NO EXCEPTIONS.
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 1099 Hardwood Floor Installation Contractor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing hardwood flooring installation projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse residential projects, utilizing your expertise in flooring installation and related construction skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills. Responsibilities Install hardwood flooring with precision, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards Prepare work sites by measuring, leveling, and setting up necessary tools and materials Ability to install stair treads and risers Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, and finishing flooring materials Perform related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and floor care to complete the project scope Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and handling equipment responsibly Collaborate with clients, general contractors, or project managers to ensure project specifications are met based on provided project scope Complete subfloor preparation and repairs as necessary Requirements Proven experience in hardwood flooring installation with a portfolio of completed projects; Proficiency with hand tools such as saws and power tools including drills and sanders; buffing equipment; and operate them safely and efficiently; Knowledge of different types of wood flooring and finishing products; Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality; Strong communication and customer service skills.
