Job Description

Summary/Objective The Assistant Manager - Bingo Operations supports the Manager - Bingo Operations in overseeing daily bingo programming, customer engagement, and staff supervision. This role plays a vital part in sustaining a fun, service-driven environment for both players and team members by ensuring smooth gameplay, staff accountability, and exceptional guest experiences. Success in this role requires high energy, operational awareness, and a visible presence on the bingo floor. Key Accountabilities Bingo Programming Support Assist in coordinating daily bingo schedules, game pricing, and special events Monitor session timing, assist with prize distribution, and ensure program accuracy Help maintain updated knowledge of current and upcoming bingo offerings Create and lead a strong department culture focused on guest enjoyment and team morale. Set the tone for a fun, friendly, and energetic bingo environment from open to close Model positive interaction, inspire staff engagement, and encourage player excitement throughout sessions Team Leadership and Oversight Support the Manager in supervising bingo floor staff and callers Coach team members in providing upbeat guest service and professional conduct Serve as lead on shift in Manager's absence, maintaining operational continuity Cash Handling and Inventory Prepare Oversee buy-in and payout processes during sessions Assist in managing inventory of bingo paper, electronics, and supplies Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and MICS Foster player loyalty and resolve guest concerns professionally Personally engage with guests, resolve disputes, and ensure prompt issue resolution Support player development through meal comps, promotional outreach, and exceptional service as needed Compliance and Reporting Work Support compliance with UMUGC, NIGC, and departmental SOPs Assist in completing daily logs, occurrence reports, and shift summaries Team Engagement and Training Participate in onboarding and training of new team members Encourage a culture of teamwork and accountability Support the Manager in performance coaching and shift alignment Qualifications General Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Ute Mountain Ute Gaming Commission Support License (background checks may be required). Must demonstrate a passion for customer engagement and a fun-forward leadership style Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays Must pass a drug test. Education High school diploma or GED required Experience Minimum of 1 years of supervisory or management experience in a hospitality, gaming, or entertainment setting Experience in organizing public-facing events or promotions is highly desirable Background in cash handling, gaming operations, or bingo operations preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead both team and guest interactions Strong decision-making, scheduling, and conflict resolution abilities Familiarity with POS systems and bingo electronic and other equipment; general computer literacy required Ability to set a cultural tone and energize a department to match guest expectations Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to regulatory compliance
