Work Schedule:

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiovascular Surgical Services Technician to join our full-time team. This position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and plays a vital role in supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures within our advanced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in surgical environments, particularly within Level I Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity settings, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety. Responsibilities Assist cardiovascular surgeons during complex surgical procedures by preparing sterile equipment and maintaining an aseptic environment. Collect and document data related to patient vitals, physiological responses, and procedural details to support clinical decision-making. Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are properly sterilized, organized, and readily available for use in the operating room. Monitor patient vital signs continuously during surgery, recognizing signs of distress or complications promptly. Maintain accurate medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent postoperative infections. Support preoperative and postoperative patient care activities under the supervision of surgical nurses and physicians. Requirements Proven experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care environments such as ICU or PICU with exposure to cardiovascular surgery. Demonstrated proficiency with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and analysis skills relevant to acute care settings. Familiarity with hospital experience including OR procedures, medical-surgical units, and ambulatory surgery centers. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and vital signs monitoring during surgical procedures. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or similar platforms for documentation purposes. Excellent patient care skills combined with attention to detail in data collection and analysis.
