To Be Determined Job Description At Leverett's Chapel ISD, we are always focused on one thing first… our students. We are currently seeking a high-quality 1st-grade teacher committed to building strong foundational skills in literacy and math. First grade is a critical year in which students grow as readers, thinkers, and problem-solvers. The work done in this classroom has a lasting impact, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are looking for someone who believes every child can learn at a high level, creates a structured and engaging classroom environment, understands the importance of early literacy and math development, uses data to guide instruction, builds strong relationships with students and families, and works as part of a team that is focused on student outcomes. Leverett's Chapel ISD offers a 4-day school week, a salary that is $1,500 above the state base, a $750 retention stipend paid at Christmas, and $338 per month toward employee insurance. Teachers also receive a $4,000 Bluebonnet stipend and work within small class sizes using the Bluebonnet curriculum for Math and RLA. The district is also soon to be eligible for the Teacher Incentive Allotment. Leverett's Chapel ISD has completed its application for the Teacher Incentive Allotment, with our local plan eligible for payouts beginning August 2028. Based on this year's average campus allotment, designated teachers would have received $7,463 at the Recognized level, $14,926 at the Exemplary level, and $26,876 at the Master level. Our district is committed to supporting teachers through meaningful feedback, instructional coaching, and professional growth opportunities. Applicants must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate in Core Subjects EC-6 or another appropriate elementary certification. A minimum of three years of classroom experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management, and a commitment to student success.
