1st Shift Pallet Jack Operator (PIT) Butterball, LLC 411 N Main St (Show on map) May 13, 2026 The function of the job is to safely transport products from areas of production or storage to another established destination. Join us in our Purpose and apply for an opportunity today! Key Responsibilities Must have both Pallet Jack and Forklift certification and be able tomaintaina good safety record. Safelyoperatepowered industrial trucks, including forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks Move, load, unload, and storeproductthroughout the facility Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Inspect andmaintainequipment to ensure proper and safe operation Support production teams by delivering materials as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience) High School Diploma or related Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must pass a background check, drug screen Must be able to read and write Accountable tomaintainpunctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours Maintain a good safety record Must haveGoodmobility, good eye/hand coordination Basic computer skills, as you willbe requiredto check out PIT equipment through safety chain Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Prior Forklift operator experience
Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment Physical Demands Standing (8 hours a day or more) Frequent bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to50lbsor more Ability to climb in and out of powered industrial trucks safely Good hand-eye coordination and ability tooperatecontrols precisely Ability to workin a cold damp environment Capability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Maintain alertness and focus in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions & Travel Requirements Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities. Position requires working around processing plant equipment. Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing forlong periodsof time, and operating processing equipment. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
