1st Shift Shipping Supervisor

Shift:

6:00am - 2:30pm Monday -

Friday Essential Functions:

Drive a forklift in a safe manner following Cardinal NELG policies and procedures Lead from the front. Oversight of forklift staff in daily operations, along with the timely loading and unloading of trucks. Keep the production lines, in Lamination and Packing, moving with the appropriately scheduled orders and minimizing gaps in production. Maintain accurate count of inventory of glass-inbound, outbound and plant to assist the planning department's needs. Correct all inventory issues by the end of business hours each day with live updates throughout. Unload interlayer products and properly stage for interlayer team to unload and receive in physical and electronic inventory. Conduct month end inventory to verify accurate tracking in E1. Perform daily shift huddles and stretches with team members. Load out trucks and know how to correct issues that come up from time to time. Maintain a clean and organized plant. This includes maintaining the receiving, shipping and warehouse areas as well as emptying dumpsters and scrap racks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience Previous forklift experience Knowledge of production processes, workflow and shop floor systems Ability to communicate effectively using various means

Constantly sitting and walking Frequent Bending and reaching Occasional lifting, carrying and/or pushing objects weighing 50 pounds or more Frequent kneeling and balancing Frequent climbing and kneeling Oral and Written communication Ability to see within normal parameters and hear within normal range

Dress Code/Protective Gear:

Must wear long denim or similar pants. Shirts must have a sleeve length of at least ¼ of the employee's arm. The following are needed for specific tasks: Helmet, helmet eddy, cut resistant sweater, cut resistant chaps, cut level 9 gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, reflective vest/jacket. #PANEL1
