Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team on a full-time basis for night shifts. This role offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and requires a professional with extensive experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, and hospital environments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, demonstrating expertise in airway management, ventilator support, and acute care procedures within a dynamic healthcare setting. Duties Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients across various departments including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Assess patient respiratory status through vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and physical examinations to develop individualized treatment plans. Manage ventilator settings and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation to ensure optimal respiratory function. Administer medications related to respiratory conditions while adhering to hospital protocols and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity environments such as Level I and Level II trauma centers to deliver timely interventions. Perform airway management procedures including intubation, extubation, and suctioning with precision and safety. Document all patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately within electronic health records while maintaining compliance with hospital policies. Support emergency response efforts by providing critical care interventions in urgent situations requiring advanced physiology knowledge. Skills Proven experience in hospital medicine with expertise in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers. Strong understanding of pulmonology principles, anatomy knowledge, and physiology related to respiratory function. Proficiency in ventilator management, airway procedures, and medication administration for acute care patients. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to inpatient and outpatient settings. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments while monitoring vital signs and oxygenation levels. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric and geriatric patient needs along with clinic experience preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams across hospital departments.
