This position requires two things: 1. A Missouri Substitute Certificate, which can be obtained by completing an application through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at www.dese.mo.gov. 2. QUALIFICATIONS

Current MO teaching certificate or 60 college credit hours and eligible for a MO Substitute License. Ability to lift 40 lbs to waist height on an occasional basis. Mobility & agility to respond quickly to emergencies on hard & soft surfaces.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Student contact days (5 hrs a day).

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise and direct playground supervisors. 2. Responsible for establishing playground supervisor guidelines, directing 3. the flow of playground student traffic and placing supervisors in position. 4. Assist in acquiring substitute playground supervisors. 5. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities. 6. Plan and implement a program suitable for the students during their scheduled recess. 7. Move about the play areas continuously (soft & hard surfaces). 8. Resolve student conflicts in a rapid manner to ensure the safety of students. 9. Other functions as stated in the Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor's job description.
