Yesterday Job Description Anderson School District Three is seeking a caring and dedicated K5 Paraprofessional to join the team at Iva Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year and support our youngest learners as they begin their educational journey. In this role, you will work alongside the classroom teacher to create a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment that fosters both academic and social growth. Essential Duties:

• Support the classroom teacher in implementing daily instructional activities aligned to early childhood standards.
• Assist with small group instruction and individualized support to reinforce learning concepts.
• Help create and maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and arrival/dismissal times.
• Assist students with basic needs, including hygiene, organization, and daily routines.
• Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning centers as directed by the teacher.
• Communicates with parents/legal guardians regarding the academic performance of the students.
• Observe and document student behavior and progress, sharing relevant information with the teacher.
• Support classroom management by reinforcing expectations and promoting positive behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and a welcoming school environment.
• Performs requirements as established by state and federal laws and requirements established by the Board of Trustees.
• Fulfills professional responsibilities beyond the classroom.
• Participates in professional development programs.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• Two Year Associates Degree or
• 60 Hours of College Coursework or
• Paraprofessional Assessment Test
