$127,772.00 To direct, coordinate, and administer the administrative, educational and counseling activities, to provide equal educational opportunities for all students; ensures that the educational programs comply with State and District education standards and other appropriate agencies.?\The ideal candidate demonstrates a proven track record of instructional leadership and successful school culture and academic turnaround. Supervision Received and Exercised Receives general administrative direction from the Superintendent or designee. Exercises direct supervision over supervisory, professional, technical and clerical staff. Essential Function Statements
  • Essential duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Develops, evaluates, and coordinates an effective instructional program aligned with District policy, ensuring student learning goals are met through staff collaboration, data analysis, and alignment with District and State standards.
Complies with the State-approved Code of Ethics of the education profession and upholds administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations. Safeguards confidentiality of privileged information. Develops and maintains the school's curriculum guide aligned to state competencies, including learning objectives, assessment strategies, and ordering of instructional materials to support instruction. Drives school turnaround to elevate academic performance, improve school culture, and establish a consistently high-performing learning environment. Leads turnaround efforts by improving curriculum alignment and instructional practices to increase student achievement and graduation through data-driven strategies and accountability. Directs the development of master schedules, student records, and attendance systems while supervising, evaluating, and supporting staff through clear expectations, accountability measures, and continuous improvement practices. Confers with teachers, students, and families to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs and implement appropriate support. Oversees special education and related services, ensuring compliance and that students with disabilities receive appropriate services and support from qualified specialists. Establishes and maintains partnerships with colleges, community organizations, and surrounding schools to expand educational opportunities and coordinate services for students. Plans, develops, and monitors the school budget to ensure resources are strategically aligned with academic priorities and school improvement goals. Plans and directs building operations and maintenance, ensuring facilities are safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Leads staff meetings and assigned committees focused on instructional improvement, school culture, and student achievement. Prepares and submits required district and state reports accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance and accountability. Requisitions, allocates, and monitors instructional supplies, equipment, and materials to support effective teaching and learning. Performs related duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
On-site attendance is mandatory for this position.
Qualification Requirements:
Knowledge of:
Operations of a comprehensive educational program, including systems supporting school improvement. Knowledge of effective strategies for leading successful school turnaround efforts, including instructional improvement, accountability systems, and culture transformation. Leading the school to deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned instruction across all classrooms. District governance, accountability systems, funding structures, and student dat a/records management. Program development and continuous improvement focused on increasing student achievement. Data-driven instruction, progress monitoring, and intervention systems to close achievement gaps. Career and technical education and development of community and post secondary partnerships. School budgeting, fiscal management, and strategic resource allocation aligned to improvement goals. Supervision, coaching, staff development, and performance management. Federal, state, and local laws, codes, regulations, and compliance requirements. School culture and climate systems, including attendance, behavior supports, and student engagement. Leadership of change in under performing schools, including establishing high expectations and accountability systems. Cultural responsiveness, including understanding of Native American communities in the Southwest. Awareness of local cultural diversity and ability to build trust with families and stakeholders.
Ability to:
Manage and direct a comprehensive educational program and related services aligned to school improvement goals. Identify, address, and respond to sensitive organizational and community issues with cultural responsiveness and professionalism. Plan, organize, and coordinate the work of staff while establishing clear roles, expectations, and accountability systems. Delegate authority and responsibility effectively to support distributed leadership and operational efficiency. Select, supervise, train, coach, and evaluate staff to build instructional capacity and improve performance. Participate in the development and implementation of District goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Prepare clear, concise administrative, instructional, and financial reports to support accountability and compliance. Analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions that improve student outcomes and school performance. Develop, monitor, and administer school budgets aligned with instructional priorities and turnaround initiatives. Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws, policies, and regulations with fidelity. Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, families, and stakeholders. Build and maintain effective working relationships that promote trust, collaboration, and school improvement. Maintain mental and physical capacity to effectively perform leadership responsibilities in a high-demand school environment.
