POSITION

General Music and Middle School Choir (.40 FTE) Assignment is .40 at Clemens Primary School (K-1) with the potential of a long-term substitute addition for Philomath Middle School and Blodgett Elementary School during Fall term (September-December)

DESCRIPTION

Instruction of General Music and Choir

QUALIFICATIONS

Oregon Teaching Certification as determined by Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission. Music endorsement required, choral experience preferred. Must be confident, flexible and innovative•with an adventurous spirit to create an outstanding musical learning environment for our students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and present a program of study that meets the needs of elementary & possibly middle school students. Provide a classroom climate conducive to learning, stressing safety, responsibility, and skill learning. Assess, prescribe, and evaluate student performance objective-centered instruction. Plan and prepare a budget for assigned areas. Communicate with parents and community the importance of the program. Work with other district Music teachers to coordinate the district's Music Programs. Organize and conduct various student performances each year. Carry out all duties assigned to all regular classroom teachers.

CONTRACT

0.4 FTE, 190-day yearly contract (in response to approved District calendar) beginning approximately August 28, 2026. Salary and benefits per licensed negotiated agreement.
