This Classroom Paraeducator II position with the Trinity County Office of Education supports students with special needs by assisting teachers with classroom instruction, behavior support, social-emotional development, and daily student care. Paraeducators work closely with students one-on-one and in small groups to help them succeed academically and build independence. Depending on assignment, duties may include supporting students with mobility needs, personal care, feeding assistance, communication, and behavior management. Candidates should be patient, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative special education environment serving students with diverse learning and support needs. Applicants must meet paraprofessional education requirements through college coursework, a degree, or a qualifying assessment. Pass the Paraeducator Exam (administered at the Trinity County Office of Education), or 2. Provide official transcripts verifying completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college or university, or 3. Hold an Associate's (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution. Driver's License Copy (CA Driver's License Required) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (At least 3 within the last 2 years) Resume Requirements / Qualifications To become a Classroom Paraeducator, you must meet one of the following requirements: 1.
