Position Overview Amergis Staffing is partnered with schools in the Fall River area and is seeking dedicated Special Education Paraprofessionals/Behavior Technicians to support the Intensive Program at the K-5 and 6-8 levels . This program includes self-contained classrooms and serves students with significant needs. Students in this program may be non-verbal, use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, have limited verbal communication, and/or have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . Students may present with a variety of behaviors, including non-compliance, aggression, and elopement. This role is best suited for individuals who are patient, resilient, and passionate about working with high-need populations. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to students in 1:1 and small group settings Assist with implementation of behavior support plans and academic instruction Collect and accurately document data related to student behavior and progress Support students with toileting and diapering needs as required Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment Qualifications & Experience Comfortable working with students with high needs and intensive behavioral challenges Experience with de-escalation techniques Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Experience with data collection and behavior tracking Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Previous experience in special education, behavioral services, or intensive programs preferred Why Amergis Amergis Staffing partners with school districts to provide skilled professionals who make a meaningful impact.
