School Year:
Band Teacher 23-May-2026 to Until Filled (CST) Battle Creek High School Spring Hill, TN, USA 50006-89915 per year Based on years of experience and education level completed Salary Full Time Medical and dental paid for by MCPS. Vision and supplemental is available as well
Primary Purpose:
Direct and manage the overall program of instrumental music for the district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, and district requirements. Plan activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition. This position reports to the Principal.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program Ability to manage budget and personnel Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing band Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Instruction:
Develop and implement plans for instrumental music program and show written evidence of preparation as required. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for individual student differences. Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the state, board policies, and administrative regulations. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing. Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Other duties as assigned by the Principal
