2nd shift Maintenance Technician

All maintenance technicians work under the direction of the maintenance manager.

DUTIES:

Maintenance technician duties may involve welding, machining, machine and equipment repairing, carpentry, and electrical work. May also include planning and laying out of work relating to repairing electrical and/or mechanical equipment: installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment. Along with any other task, as assigned.

TASKS:

1. Inspects and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions making sure all is in a safe condition for operation. 2. Inspects machine guarding on a daily basis. 3. dismantles and reassembles defective equipment and machines. 4. Installs new or repaired parts. 5. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery as part of regular and/or preventative maintenance. 6. Installs and/or repairs wiring and electrical and electronic components 7. Assembles, installs and/or repairs pipe systems and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment 8. Assembles, installs and/or repairs plumbing 9. Paints and repairs woodwork and plaster 10. Repairs and maintains physical structure of buildings 11. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment 12. Fabricates and repairs structures, such as stairs, sheds, and buildings 13. Records all work in progress or completed. Reports and/or records work progress or problems with work assigned or safety concerns. 14. Other Tasks assigned as needed

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge elements are ranked by importance. Knowledge of materials, methods and the appropriate tools used to complete repair tasks assigned. Knowledge of security operations, safety standards and Bonded Fibers Midwest policies, procedures and rules of the job. Adheres to Bonded Fibers policies, procedures and rules of operation. Adheres to safety standards. Maintains machinery and equipment to Bonded Fibers safety standards making sure that all maintenance department responsibilities meet or exceeds OSHA standards. Remove or alert everyone that equipment is out of operation until such time as it again meets safety standards.

$21.00 - $27.00 per hour
