Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4-5-Year-Old Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, laying a strong foundation for their future learning experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum goals Support children's learning activities in literacy, math, science, art, and social skills through engaging and interactive methods Help manage classroom behavior by applying positive behavior management techniques and fostering a respectful environment Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, and snack times Support individualized instruction for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and encourages exploration and learning Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support each child's developmental progress and address any concerns Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Knowledge of literacy education, math concepts, behavior management strategies, and Montessori or other educational philosophies Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including toddlers and children with special needs Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and colleagues Classroom management skills that promote positive behavior and a respectful learning environment Prior experience in daycare or preschool settings preferred; private school experience is a plus Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or disabilities is advantageous Demonstrated ability to foster a safe, nurturing space that encourages curiosity and independence Join us in shaping the future by supporting young learners during their most formative years! Pay:
$16.00 - $17.50 per hour
