Job Description

At Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians we are committed to providing excellent and compassionate care to adult and pediatric patients in our community. Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians is the largest, independent ENT and Allergy practice in the state of Ohio with seven offices throughout central Ohio. Our practice provides a wide spectrum of medical services including comprehensive ENT services, Allergy, Audiology, Oral-Pathology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, CT, SLP and an ambulatory surgery center. Our Riverside Hearing Services, Ltd. dba Hearing Health Solutions in Columbus is seeking 4th year Audiology Externs for a twelve-month, full-time, paid externship position for the 2027-2028 academic year. Extern candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology program and have completed all clinical and educational requirements of their program.

Yes 20 minutes Local students preferred: No Does the externship site provide orientation to relevant clinical policies and procedures? Yes Does the externship site provide instructions about patient's rights and providing patient education? Yes Does the externship site provide orientation to quality assessment, quality assurance and quality improvement? Yes Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: Proficient audiometric testing abilities for adult and pediatric populations. Working knowledge of ENG/VNG testing. Working knowledge of hearing aid technology. Ability to interact with patients, supervisors, physicians, and support staff appropriately and professionally. Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: Ability to solidify proficiency of performance and interpret audiometric tests. Ability to dispense hearing aids and counsel patients regarding all aspects of hearing aid technology. Professional interactions with patients, physicians and staff members. Students are expected to complete their externship as independent clinicians.
