TECHNICIAN TRAINEE

TITLE:
Extrusion Technician Trainee
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Inteplast Building Products produces extruded interior prefinished polystyrene and PVC moulding. Monday through Thursday, 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am. Previous work experience in plastic extrusion a PLUS! Excellent benefits package available. Safety focused employer.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in extrusion process preferred. Legal eligibility to work in the US. Ability to speak, read and write in English. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel. Basic math and mechanical abilities. Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 60 pounds. Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be available for 1st or 2nd shift. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. Must successfully complete forklift training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure safety, quality and production standards. Vigilantly oversee all extrusion processes to ensure that the production line operates within the prescribed operating conditions. Properly care for and maintain equipment. Collect data from the line to confirm settings conform to the product specifications. Offer assistance to adjacent production lines when necessary to enhance overall productivity. Good troubleshooting skills.
TRAINING
Step progression training. Wage increases at each completed training section. Will receive safety training and forklift license training.
