7-12 Mathematics Teacher

Badger Community School is seeking a full time math teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The qualified applicant will be responsible to teach math classes to grades 7-12. This position has the support of a dedicated staff which is a vibrant mix of veteran and younger educators focused on serving the needs of students and each other. Badger is a stable right sized smaller school near the northern border of greater Minnesota located on state highway 11. It does not take too much imagination to come up with four seasons of fun with the neighboring forest areas, inviting rivers, wetlands, recreational trails and golf courses in close proximity to Badger. Also, less than an hour drive to Lake of the Woods for boating, camping and some of the best year-round fishing in the state.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range is $49,686 to $79,429. along with a comprehensive benefit package including the following:

• School District contribution towards the premium cost of enrollment in the school district's group health and hospitalization plan - $6,625 annually for single coverage, $12,150 annually for family coverage;
• School district contribution of $70 per month to eligible employee's individual Health Savings Account;
• School District will match up to $1,200 in contributions to a 403B retirement plan;
• School District contribution towards the premium cost of enrollment in the school district's dental insurance plan - $30 monthly for single coverage, $70 monthly for family coverage.
• Teachers receive 16 PTO days annually.

Days can be carried over from year to year, accruing to a maximum of 135 days. Preference will be given to candidates with the willingness to work toward becoming eligible to teach college in the high school courses in the future or credentialed to do so already.

Licensure:

Valid Minnesota mathematics teaching license for either grades 7-12 or grades 5-12 or ability to obtain such licensure by August 31, 2026. Candidates with training, degrees or licenses in other related content areas are also welcome to apply. Badger School is willing to explore Tier 1, Tier 2 or an Out of Field Permission if necessary within accordance of PELSB guidelines and timelines.
