Job Description

Job Overview:
The PPC Technician Assistant is responsible for supporting the planning, scheduling, and control of production orders, ensuring efficient use of resources, on-time delivery, and alignment with commercial and operational demands. This position works closely with purchasing, inventory, engineering, production, and logistics to guarantee proper material flow and accurate information throughout the production process.
Hours:
Monday-Friday:
6:30am-3:00pm (hours may vary based on production needs)
Responsibilities :
Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Create, release, and monitor production orders (POs) based on customer demand, MTO and MTS requirements. Track lead times and status of production orders, ensuring timely updates in the ERP system. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods; signal replenishment needs. Analyze production capacity and potential bottlenecks; propose schedule adjustments as needed. Support production sequencing decisions considering setup time, priority, and minimum batch sizes. Follow up on material consumption and production reporting. Work with Engineering to update BOMs, routings, and standard times.
Prepare PPC performance reports:
schedule adherence, lead time, production efficiency, backlog, etc. Assist with inventory counts and internal audits related to material flow and stock accuracy. Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and control processes. Maintain clear communication with production, logistics, and sales regarding delivery dates and deviations. All other duties as assigned. Technical Requirements Technical degree or technologist in Production, Logistics, Mechanical, Administration, or related fields. Previous experience in PPC, scheduling, or production control (1-3 years preferred). Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Epicor Prefered). Ability to read technical drawings is a plus. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, graphs). Basic knowledge of capacity planning, MRP, and inventory control. Behavioral Competencies Strong organization and attention to detail. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
