  • Contract Overview Join our dynamic team as an AC Technician and become a vital part of maintaining optimal climate control and mechanical systems across diverse property environments.
In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and install heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical equipment. Your expertise will ensure our facilities operate smoothly, providing comfort and safety for all occupants. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of systems. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines while adhering to plumbing codes. Utilize welding skills for repairs on metal components of HVAC or refrigeration equipment when necessary. Read and interpret schematics for complex HVAC design projects to facilitate accurate repairs or installations. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed during field service operations. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC, refrigeration, or property maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot using schematics and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with appliance repair, equipment repair, and boiler systems. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment is highly desirable. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field testing instruments effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements is preferred. Construction experience or background in building maintenance is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision.
