Building Principal Position Summary The William Penn School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Academic Interventionist to support students in grades K-6. The successful candidate will provide targeted, data-driven instruction in literacy and mathematics to students requiring additional academic support. This position plays a critical role in advancing student achievement through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and strong collaboration with teachers, staff, and families. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions in reading and mathematics. Deliver small-group and individualized instruction based on student data (e.g., MAP, Acadience, district assessments). Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to ensure academic growth. Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with core instruction. Participate inMTSS/RTI
meetings and data team discussions. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and intervention plans. Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance and support strategies. Support a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Qualifications Required Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification (Elementary K-6 or related field). Strong understanding ofMTSS/RTI
frameworks. Experience using data to drive instruction. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 3+ years of teaching experience. Experience with intervention tools (e.g., i-Ready, MAP). Experience working with diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and English Language Learners. Preferred Reading Specialist or Math Specialist certification. Master's degree. Core Competencies Data-Driven Instruction Collaboration & Teamwork Instructional Expertise in Literacy and Math Student-Centered Approach Problem-Solving & Flexibility Performance & Evaluation This position is evaluated in accordance with Pennsylvania's Educator Effectiveness system and aligned to the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching.
