Experience Position Overview:
The Academic Support & Library Aide is responsible for supporting student academic success through oversight of students enrolled in online coursework through CDLS and NJC Concurrent Enrollment courses and assisting with coordination of targeted interventions. This position focuses on supporting students who require additional academic assistance, facilitating access to intervention programs, and monitoring student progress. Also includes library support duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and support students enrolled in CDLS (Colorado Digital Learning Solutions) courses, ensuring engagement, completion and grade submission.
  • Monitor and support students enrolled in online NJC Concurrent Enrollment courses, ensuring engagement, progress, completion and grade submission.
  • Communicate with students, teachers, and administration regarding student progress and concerns related to online coursework.
  • Pull and supervise selected students during designated times to participate in computerized intervention programs.
  • Track student participation and progress in intervention programs and report data as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records related to student interventions and online coursework.
  • Support student accountability, organization, and time management skills.
  • Oversee and provide support to library operations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and online learning platforms.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and support their academic growth.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is primarily performed in the high school library.
  • Some evening or weekend work may be required for special events or school programs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry library materials (up to 25 pounds).
  • Ability to stand, sit, and move around the library to assist students.
  • Ability to assist students with technology and digital resources.
