We are currently looking for an Account Manager for our Portland Branch. This position oversees the management of customer accounts; services customers by selling products, fielding questions, and resolving customer's issues. Services existing accounts and also establishes new accounts. Key Competencies Building Collaborative Relationships Innovation / Creativity Adaptability Developing Self & Others Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables for Account Manager Sell/market Company products and services using all communication methods provided and within the parameters set by the Company Quote and negotiate product prices on behalf of the Company to customers, using independent judgment and discretion based on knowledge of current market conditions and other factors Receive customer questions, concerns and complaints and exercise judgment and discretion to resolve them on behalf of the Company Collect and disperse information relevant to the customer's and company's needs and use that information to provide superior customer service Continually analyze customer base and manage according to the best return on time invested Actively participate in strategic planning and annual budgeting by account Complete training courses, classes and seminars as assigned Maintain on-going product knowledge meetings for your customers Perform product maintenance through cycle counts as necessary for specialty item inventory Perform other work related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment Education / Experience and Skills Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field Understanding or knowledge of lumber industry and the company products and services Ability to model the Capital values and to provide innovative solutions Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and engage commitment of customers and team members Ability to drive and be accountable for results in a fast paced environment Ability to multi-task and have multiple projects going simultaneously A strong sense of urgency for goal achievement Results focused with ability to make quick decisions to changing conditions Strong follow-up is necessary on tasks to ensure proper results Detail-oriented with ability to handle details quickly, correctly and efficiently Abilities Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday Work Environment Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment Our Benefits We are in the people business, we just happen to sell lumber... so you can haveGREAT BENEFITS!
