ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Description:
Reporting to the Company's Finance Controller/Asst. Treasurer, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for full cycle A/P, matching, vouchering, and GL coding.Duties:
To include but not limited to:- Accounts Payables - new vendor setup in Sage Accounting, payment scheduling and writing, posting, investigate/resolve payable discrepancies, monitor discount opportunities. Upload Positive Pay to financial institution.
- Monthly Aged Payables Review
- Completion of Credit Applications requested by new vendors
- Coordinate and generate Purchase Orders as needed
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; record entries
- Back up to Accounts Receivables Clerk
- Timely month end closing entry
- Process ACH and Wires online
- Perform additional assignments, as requested
Education and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's Degree or some college courses in accounting preferred 2 to 3 years accounts payable experience preferred Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion- Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report problems to the management, as necessary Time Management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines Other key skills: attention to detail, ability to multi-task, deadline-oriented, confidentiality, thoroughness, effective interactions with colleagues as this position communicates across the company.
