Account Representative

Position Summary The Account Representative serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient order management, and strong customer relationships. This role is responsible for proactively monitoring demand trends, resolving issues, and maintaining data integrity to support operational and customer success. Key Responsibilities Forecast Management & Analysis Conduct weekly follow-ups with forecasted customers whose orders do not align with projections to identify discrepancies and gather updated information. Perform monthly outreach to review and update customers' rolling three-month forecasts. Assist Purchasing with quarterly paint disposal reviews by confirming ongoing customer needs for specific colors or identifying discontinued items. Support Engineering during the annual die sweep by reviewing inactive dies (no orders within three years) and verifying continued customer demand. Order Management & Customer Communication Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Provide timely updates regarding order status, delays, lead times, and shipment details. Ensure clear, proactive communication to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Issue Resolution Investigate and resolve customer concerns related to order quantities, pricing discrepancies, delivery issues, and product inquiries. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate resolution of issues. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, proactive relationships through consistent communication and responsiveness. Anticipate customer needs and provide solutions that enhance overall experience and satisfaction. Internal Collaboration Partner closely with Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and executed. Facilitate alignment across departments to support operational efficiency. Data Management & System Accuracy Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data within the ERP system, including forecasts, order changes, and communication records. Ensure data integrity to support reporting and decision-making processes. Backorder & Shortage Monitoring Monitor back orders and potential supply shortages. Communicate risks proactively to customers and provide solutions or alternatives when necessary. Qualifications Experience in customer service, account management, or supply chain coordination preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred).
