With an annual operating budget of approximately $6 million, strong governance, and a collaborative leadership team, we value transparency, accountability, and sound financial management in everything we do. You prefer a technically focused role over managing a large team. What You Will Do Lead Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage the general ledger and monthly and year-end close processes. Prepare timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Maintain fund accounting for restricted and unrestricted funds. Track, reconcile, and report grant and donor-restricted funding. Support budget monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure Compliance & Audit Readiness Maintain compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and grant requirements. Serve as primary contact for the annual audit and prepare supporting schedules. Assist with Form 990 preparation and other regulatory filings. Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and documentation. Manage Cash, Systems & Processes Perform bank and account reconciliations and cash flow reporting. Maintain and optimize accounting systems and workflows. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and risk management. Partner with program and development teams to provide financial insight. Role Scope Individual contributor role (no direct reports).
Operating budget:
approximately $6 million annually.

collaborative, professional, and mission-focused. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles. Experience with audits, internal controls, and financial reporting. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Preferred Nonprofit, healthcare, education, or government accounting experience. CPA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Experience with fund accounting and grant compliance.
