undefined (USD) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accountant to assist the Corporate Accounting Organization. The Corporate Accounting team is responsible for recording and reporting the financial results of the Corporate business unit. Day to day you will focus on conducting routine and non-routine accounting activities, including active participation in the monthly close, intercompany and third-party debt account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and other special projects. As an Accountant, you will partner cross-functionally to properly record and report Intercompany, as well as develop a full understanding of the legal and operating entity structure, with an emphasis on intercompany relationships. Key Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries related to third party debt, including accrued interest, amortization of debt discounts, and deferred financing costs Perform monthly reconciliations to support schedules and lender statements Assist with corporate allocations and intercompany analysis Prepare proposed intercompany journal entries, intercompany invoicing and monthly settlement file Monitor, analyze, and reconcile monthly intercompany balances, as well as investigate and resolve intercompany differences Maintain the intercompany note tracker including the reconciliation of the general ledger for income, expense, payable, receivable and withholding taxes associated with the loans in the database Assist in the internal financial reporting process including the consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information Assist in quarterly reviews and the annual audit with external auditors Other duties as assigned Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred Required Experience Between 2 3 years of accounting experience required Public accounting experience strongly preferred Required Skills Knowledge of moderately complex procedures and practices of accounting and GAAP principles Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Experience performing and understanding foreign exchange transactions Experience with Oracle Financials Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the use of pivot tables Work Environment / Physical Requirements Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About GTT GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American owned company in Alaska.
