Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and financial discrepancies Process accounts payable transactions Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as needed Support audits by providing documentation and financial analysis Maintain confidentiality of financial information Collaborate with management to improve accounting procedures and internal controls Assist in creation and updating of financial spreadsheets Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2+ years of accounting experience preferred Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Preferred Skills Experience with EXCEL Understanding of GAAP standards Experience with payroll, tax preparation, and budgeting High level of accuracy and attention to detail
