• Where is the work:

• Manufacturing Cost Accountant

• Responsibilities:

• + Assist in annual budgeting and standard cost setting process, forecasting, and reporting of the income statement and balance sheet + Manage annual physical inventory process and related reconciliations + Manage CapEx process and projects with related tracking reconciliations + Manage the obsolete & slow-moving inventory reserves and planning + Identify and investigate material variances to ensure accurate material cost + Execute standards-setting process and maintain standard costs in ERP + Partner with Controller on the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries + Assist in the education and compliance of financial processes and policies, supporting compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits, as well as company practices & values + Drive and participate in operational excellence initiatives to support achievement of organizational goals + Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities + Coach & develop cost accountants on both material cost system work and data analytics + Support with ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts with focus on P&L performance, cash flow, working capital optimization, investments and productivity, and financial ratios •

Qualifications:

• + Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline required + Minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or finance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment + Experience in complex integrated supply chain is a plus + Strong PC Skills required: Advanced Excel Skills, PowerPoint, and Teams

• Key Competencies:

• + Skills and competencies should include verbal and written communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to work independently and, also, in a team environment + Proven success implementing process improvement and change management initiatives strongly preferred + Strong ability to coach and teach junior cost accountants both technical and soft skills relevant to their role + Understanding of cost accounting with overheads and absorption, material backflushing, inventory valuation, and material variance system management •
