Build your finance experience by analyzing trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to forecast future revenues and expenses. Contribute significantly to the annual budget process, including meeting with department managers to review and refine budget assumptions. As an Accountant IV, you prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports, including statistical reports for Board packets. Responsibilities also include analyzing financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting leadership with clear, timely reporting.The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Strong analytical skills, with experience in healthcare net patient revenue, reimbursement concepts, and reserve methodologies Advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to work with large datasets to support reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting Experience with Kodiak RCA and Epic, or similar financial and clinical systems, which is strongly preferredCore Functions:
Maintains Balance Sheet reconciliations- including preparing complete supporting documentation and providing guidance and expertise to Accountants III, II, and accounting technicians. Prepares complex journal entries
- handling higherlevel accounting areas and performing trend analysis to explain variances in financial statements. Prepares financial statements and analysis schedules
- including revenue and expense analysis and budgettoactual reporting; communicates directly with managers regarding account variances and other financial issues. Assists with budget preparation
- collaborating with department managers and Administrators; prepares yearend workpapers for annual audit, tax reporting, and cost reporting as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and six to eight years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field required. Healthcare experience preferred. CPA certification desirable.
