Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. This role is well-suited for someone coming from public accounting (audit or tax) who enjoys client-facing work, or someone who has transitioned into an industry controller or accounting leadership role and is looking to return to a more advisory, multi-client environment with better work/life balance and less traditional busy season structure. You'll be responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting for multiple clients, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact on day-to-day accounting and close-related matters. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee monthly close processes across multiple client entities Review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness Perform variance analysis and provide clear, client-ready financial commentary Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items Manage accounts payable processes, payment workflows, and vendor-related activity Support cash management and basic treasury functions, including monitoring cash flow and payment timing Serve as a primary accounting contact for clients and handle escalated issues Assist with client onboarding, process documentation, and accounting system transitions Coordinate with external auditors and other third parties as needed Ideal Background Public accounting experience in audit, tax, or CAS, or prior industry experience in a controller or accounting manager role Strong understanding of monthly close, financial reporting, and general accounting processes Experience working directly with clients, operators, or internal leadership teams CPA or CPA-track a plus, but not required What This Role Offers Reduced busy season intensity compared to traditional public accounting Strong client-facing and advisory exposure Opportunity to work across multiple clients and industries Clear long-term growth potential within a growing CAS practice
