Job Description
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices with accuracy, verify supporting details, and prepare payments in accordance with established timelines.
- Manage incoming customer payments, apply cash receipts correctly, and follow up on outstanding balances when needed.
- Reconcile bank statements and internal records to identify discrepancies and help maintain accurate account balances.
- Enter and code invoices while ensuring transactions are assigned to the appropriate accounts.
- Assist with maintaining organized financial documentation for reporting, audits, and internal review purposes.
- Review accounting entries for completeness and escalate unusual items or inconsistencies to the appropriate team members.
- Support routine accounting operations by updating records, tracking transactions, and helping keep financial data current.
