Accounting Clerk Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support our accounting department with daily financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Experience with Yardi software is preferred. Key Responsibilities Accurately record daily financial transactions in the general ledger using Yardi software Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and electronic/check payments Manage accounts receivable, including tenant invoices, late fees, bill-backs, statements, payment tracking, and collections follow-up Communicate with vendors and tenants regarding billing questions and payment issues Maintain organized electronic records and assist with administrative and accounting projects Handle e-mail and telephone communications professionally and efficiently Qualifications & Skills High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Yardi accounting software preferred Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with financial data Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines Preferred Attributes Self-motivated and dependable Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a positive attitude
