Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and key accounting operations. This role will manage general ledger activity, support credit and rebate programs, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly close process, including preparing and posting journal entries and producing financial statements. Compile and review reports used in the month-end close and resolve prior period issues. Prepare financial results for multiple entities, including international operations and currency conversions. Manage rebate and promotional accounting, including accruals, reporting, and payment coordination with buying groups. Maintain key monthly schedules and ensure reconciliation to the general ledger. Prepare Canadian GST/HST tax reporting and related payment requests. Oversee new customer account setup, credit approvals, and monitoring of credit limits and past-due balances. Review customer accounts, manage credit holds, and coordinate with sales teams on account issues. Track ACH and wire remittances and maintain reconciliation schedules. Oversee bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies. Provide support and oversight to accounts payable and credit/AR functions as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 5+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and month-end close. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations. Experience with accruals, rebates, and multi-entity reporting preferred. Strong Excel and accounting systems experience. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Compensation $70,000 to $80,000 Benefits package.
