Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager / Benefits Administrator to oversee daily financial operations and manage all accounting and human resources functions for a growing commercial electrical subcontractor. This role is ideal for a professional who can balance accounting, payroll, benefits administration, and customer relationship responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Prepare and process invoicing and compliant AIA billing and waivers Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations Handle year-end accounting , including coordination with external accountants Maintain accurate financial records and reports, including cash flow statements Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries Develop and manage budgets and help produce future forecasting Provide information and reports for Bonding Insurance and support audits Provide leadership with Financial Analysis Data to support strategic decision making Construction Project Accounting Support Set-up Customers and Projects in QuickBooks , including Schedule of Value estimates Support Project set-up in QuickBooks Timekeeping Provide input to field tracking breakouts from project estimates Provide Job Costing reports and analysis to leadership Oversee daily inputs and administrative processes of other teams Oversee supplier invoicing, resolving billing and account inquiries, and waivers Oversee the maintenance of organized records, files, and internal documentation Benefits & Retirement Administration Onboarding new employees and set-up into QuickBooks and Timekeeping Properly Archive and control access to Employee Personally Identifiable Information Serve as Benefits Administrator , including enrollments, changes, and employee support Act as 401(k) Administrator , sending weekly payroll reports Handle 401(k) inquiries and complaints in coordination with plan providers Ensure compliance with benefit and retirement plan regulations Qualifications Proven experience as an Accountant, Controller, Benefits Administrator, or similar role in construction or a similar field Strong knowledge of AR, AP, payroll, invoicing, and year-end accounting Experience administering employee benefits and 401(k) plans High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills Proficiency in accounting QuickBooks Desktop software and Microsoft Office Excel required Able to pass a background check Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Existing Texas notary or eligible to become a notary Preferred Qualifications 3 years Experience working in a small to mid-sized business environment Knowledge of GAAP accounting and reporting Knowledge of employment and benefits compliance regulations Current CPA certificate
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:
