Accounting Manager

Robert Half is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a player-coach who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also leading and developing a small accounting team. The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit accounting expertise along with the ability to improve processes and support organizational growth.

ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reportingManage and participate in fund and grant accounting, ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory requirementsPrepare and review financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses for leadershipSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while remaining actively involved in transactional workLead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditorsStrengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and support system improvementsPartner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planningEnsure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit-specific accounting standards

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $95,000
