JOB SUMMARY
: Responsible for supporting accounting functions and inventory control for Circle K's sandwich manufacturing facility and Alaska Bakery. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cost accounting functions, maintaining inventory accuracy, and investigating inventory variances and operational discrepancies. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing accounting or inventory control, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, warehouse, procurement, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Inventory & Operations Role:
o Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse, production, and off-site storage locations o Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and transaction timing issues o Coordinate and support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory adjustment processes o Monitor inventory transactions and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy within the ERP system o Support production reporting by validating ingredient usage, finished goods reporting, waste tracking, and inventory movements o Assist with purchase order tracking, receiving verification, and inventory movement documentation o Work closely with warehouse, procurement, transportation, and production teams to resolve inventory and operational issues o Track and report key inventory and operational performance indicators (KPIs) o Assist with monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential inventory risks or shortages o Identify process improvement opportunities related to inventory control and operational efficiencies §
Accountant Role:
o Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports o Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations o Support month-end and year-end close processes o Assist with cost accounting, including tracking raw materials, labor, and production costs o Monitor inventory valuation and support inventory-related accounting activities o Partner with operations to analyze production variances, waste, and efficiencies o Manage accounts payable and receivable processes as needed o Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls o Assist with financial and inventory audits o Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements o Update vendor information and assist with other accounting activities as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and data accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of ERP systems desired. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED
High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, food manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred. Equivalent work experience may substitute for education.
