Job Description:

We are searching for an Accounting Specialist for our client, a gasket and hose assembly fabricator and distributor serving the Aerospace, Construction, Transportation, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Chemical and Semi-conductor markets. The is an onsite role located in Schenectady, NY. In this role, the Accounting Specialist will: Reconcile and record accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions Invoice daily shipments through the company's ERP system & in customer platforms Process bank deposits Review customer account balances regularly initiate collection of past-due amounts with sales team Batch and record credit card transactions Establish new customer creditworthiness with management Maintain accurate customer account information Assist with month and year end closing procedures Resolve discrepancies between customer payments and invoices Maintain electronic records for all transactions Reconcile and record supplier rebates Additional accounting support functions as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' accounting experience, a degree in Business or Accounting preferred Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and coworkers Must be well organized and have strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with the business
